But is it business as usual? Well no, and it’s likely to not be for quite some time. So how does this affect you as a patient of Heron Eyecare?

Safety is our number one priority! So we are restricting the number of patient appointments each day and lengthening your appointments. This reduces the number of patients in the practice at any one time, and allows us to keep the practice clean and disinfected regularly. All equipment used will be cleaned between patients as well. 

Our second priority is caring for our patients. So if you have an eye health problem or concern, or vision problem, we are here to assist you. Recently we received government advice that optometry can see patients for routine examinations again. However if you are still not comfortable coming to see us for an appointment, please postpone for a few more months. 

Heron Eyecare is very proudly a locally owned and operated optometry practice. We are pleased that we have been able to remain open in a reduced capacity for the past few months to care for our patients who have needed us. It has also meant that we have been able to keep all our wonderful team together at Heron Eyecare.
